Home Based Business Success secret #4 – Use Leverage To Create Quicker And Bigger Success

Here’s secret 4 of 7 secrets I believe from my 8 years experience in the home based business industry anyone who wants to be successful building a home based business needs to know.

If you haven’t, I encourage you to go back and read secrets 1,2 and 3 and even if you have go back and read them again.

If you want to earn substantial amounts of money building a home based business then you simply must use the power of leverage.

So what is leverage?  To put it simply, leverage is anything that can multiply the effects of the efforts that are put in.

So  for example, if I was speaking to a crowd of maybe 2000 people, I could use a microphone. The microphone has given me leverage and I would be able to have more effect than if I had tried to scream my lungs out trying to get the whole crowd to hear what I’m saying.

Unfortunately there are so many people who are doing this as they try to build their home based businesses.

I know because I used to do that myself, I remember a point in time when I would attend 5 home presentation parties in 1 day, what about calling 50 people every evening on prospecting calls and this was after a hard day at work.

Leverage enables you to do more with less so you can spend more time doing what is important to you like spend time with your family.

So what can you leverage?

Technology, I believe is the number 1 form of leverage you need to embrace. I remember when I started building a home based business in 2002, all the top leaders at the time would say technology is a waste of time and said we should hit the phones and travel to meet people, I tried what they recommended and after about 6 weeks, I was completely burnt out with very little to show for it.

When I then began to explore using the power of the Internet to build my business, my business began to grow internationally and the money started to roll in and then the company started to invite me to train the leaders on how to leverage the Internet.

The other form of leverage is other people’s efforts.

When considering the compensation plan of the company you choose to work with, it is really important that you get rewarded not just for your efforts but from the efforts of others.

Be careful here though because as I noted in secret #3, you must first be rewarded well for your efforts but in addition to that leveraged income from other people who you are helping could grow to substantial incomes.

Imagine going away on holiday to Spain for a week, relaxing on the beach with your family. You get back home, log on to your email and there’s $5000 sitting in your account, all from other people’s efforts. This is really powerful and is happening for so many of us in the home based business industry.

So when assessing a home based business, the first question is how do I get paid for my own efforts alone, if  that is credible, then ask the next question, how can I get paid leveraging the efforts of others.

The more leverage that is available, the more your potential for massive success.
